MAKE LIFE HAPPEN—This is my business motto! I not only strive to incorporate this perspective in my business, but I also try to embrace this philosophy in my personal life. I recently celebrated my birthday. For over twenty years, we have enjoyed the tradition of having afternoon tea in San Francisco (yes, I am a lucky gal!). Over the years, this trip also evolved into a visit with Santa (I have not outgrown Santa!), delicious clam chowder at Boudin’s, and yummy treats from Ghirardelli Square! The reality is that I love Christmas so much, we would probably do this even if it wasn’t my birthday. Nonetheless, this is a cherished tradition. Because of the recent COVID-19 restrictions, we were not able to celebrate in the City. So, we brought SF to our home! We had a lovely afternoon tea and faux Boudin’s/Ghirardelli experience. And, my husband and kids covered our dining area with pictures of San Francisco! Now, here’s the truth—it wasn’t perfect! I woke up at 6am, spent the whole morning cooking and baking, only to repeat the set up in the evening. BUT, it was a much better option than sitting at home disappointed. So, dear friends, this season looks much different than we had all hoped. However, we can try to carve out ways to “make like happen.” How can you make your life happen this Christmas?
