"Everything can be taken from a man, but one thing: the last of the human freedoms--to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."
Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning
Hello! Welcome to Joseph Catalyst Coaching. My name is Asha Joseph and I am a Board Certified Life Coach and Certified Spiritual Director. My name, Asha, means Hope, and I've been married for 25 years, have two children, and a labradoodle. I enjoy family time more than anything, but also love to read, take photographs (too many, if you ask my children), and meet with friends for coffee. Professionally, when I received my bachelor's in Psychology, I had every intention of becoming a therapist. However, I realized that disorder and diagnosis were not where my passions resided. I then decided to get my Master's in Sociology and develop my teaching skills. Although teaching at a local Junior College was incredibly fulfilling, my career took a hiatus as I started my family. My role as a mother has given my life profound purpose and meaning. As Lilly and Isaiah have entered full time school, however, I have developed a desire to use my educational skills and background. When I discovered the field of life coaching, I had my "aha" moment. This is where my passion for the positive aspects of the behavioral sciences and my teaching skills coalesce. I obtained my coaching education from the Institute for Life Coach Training (ICF accredited) and pursued my Board Certified Coach credential from the Center for Credentialing and Education, Inc. It is through coaching that I believe I have reached my professional potential as I strive to be an instrument--a catalyst, if you will--for change. I am committed to help my clients achieve their potential, to facilitate the process of making their dreams a reality. . . to make their lives happen.
I have been in business for 8 years and have loved every moment of building my coaching practice and teaching at a local Christian university. However, recently, when a family member became severely ill, I sensed the need to meet with a Spiritual Director. The experience was so transformative that I decided to pursue training to become a certified Spiritual Director. I obtained my 2-year training through Sustainable Faith and am currently a member of Evangelical Spiritual Directors Association (via Grafted Life Ministries).
As a Board Certified Life Coach, I will work with you to achieve your goals, providing guidance, structure and accountability. As many of us transition through life, we encounter the life-altering experiences of becoming a parent, building relationships, enforcing boundaries, changing careers, weight management and the list goes on. My commitment is to partner with you to meet your life goals and thereby experience greater life satisfaction. I believe the answers reside within your own creative brilliance and I strive to help you achieve awareness, discover possibilities and produce change.
As a Certified Spiritual Director, I will come alongside you as you seek to grow your relationship with God. I believe we are all on a spiritual journey, and there is a unique invitation in each stage of our faith. My goal is to help you discern that invitation, to see God's fingerprints in your life, and to fall more deeply in love with our Maker.
I am a life coach who possesses the passion and skills to partner with you to meet your life goals. I motivate, inspire, and empower clients to take ownership of their lives, maximize their potential, and fulfill their purpose. I devote myself to serve as a catalyst for transformation.
I am a spiritual director who carries your hopes, dreams, and pain. My training has equipped me with the skills to listen attentively, ask questions that prompt discovery, create a safe space to experience both joy and sorrow, and connect with God in deeper ways. However, what is most important is that I deeply yearn and hunger for my directees to experience the Father's love in ways that will leave us both speechless.
